Pax 2 & Pax 3 - Accessories Guide

As you probably know, the PAX range of vaporizers is one of the very best. However, there are some accessories available that can bring its vaping experience to new heights. Furthermore, some accessories are useful to replace used parts over time, vaping is a tough business after all!

I’ve gone through the whole parade of accessories with my own Pax 3. I’m sure I’ve left a trail of them behind me from either using them wrong or just not getting the right one for me.

Here’s a little nifty guide of accessories for both your PAX 2 and PAX 3 accessories to make sure that you don’t make the same mistakes!

Flat Mouthpiece (Pax 2 / Pax 3)

Pax Flat Mouthpiece

The favourite choice of many, but not perfect for all, the flat mouthpiece sits evenly on one end of the vape. With a small slit through its middle for airflow, all you need to do is inhale, and you’ve got yourself a nice hit of vapour.

It’s not exactly the aesthetic overlord and I never bring it to parties or group vaping sessions but it’s perfect for personal vaping sessions (if you’re not looking in the mirror!)

And perhaps more importantly than not looking “too cool,” it literally stays cool in comparison to its counterpart and arch-nemesis – the raised mouthpiece.

Raised Mouthpiece (Pax 2 / Pax 3)

Pax Raised mouthpiece

As you’ve probably already guessed from the name, the raised mouthpiece has a slit which is slightly elevated in comparison to the rest of the accessory. It essentially juts out to give that classic “vape look” and is easier to get a grip of.

Though this might sound fantastic, I’ve found that it heats up much too fast and can often become unbearable to use. So, even though it might look better than the flat mouthpiece, the airflow is the same, and the flat mouthpiece won’t burn your lips off.

Half-pack oven lid (Pax 2 / Pax 3)

Pax Half Pack Oven

Sometimes you don’t want to vape everything and once and that’s okay. Having a slow-burn session with less potent yet more hits can be incredibly enjoyable. It’s the definition of “taking it easy.” And that’s exactly what half-pack oven lids let you do.

They slow down the vaporizing of all the dry herb in a session. They also tend to burn out themselves quite fast due to being subject to heat for so long. However, replacing them is always worth it.

Screen Spares (Pax 2 / Pax 3)

If you want to limit your oven lid replacements, then taking care of your screens might be your best bet. Not only do they hold your herb in place and make sure it doesn’t unnecessarily combust, but they also protect the vape’s oven from any burnt debris.

I clean my PAX screens often for both of my vapes, but they still need replacing every 6 months or so.

Concentrate Inserts (Pax 3)

Sometimes, when dry herb just won’t cut it, I move on to concentrate. And luckily, there’s a PAX 3 concentrate insert that helps me transition with ease.

First of all, it fits nicely into the vape and has never posed any problem. Second of all, make sure you wipe it down afterwards or simply burn the last of the vape out using high heat to avoid needing regular replacements.

And there you have it. Most of these PAX accessories are completely applicable to both the PAX 2 and 3 but the PAX 3 concentrate insert is for the PAX 3 and the PAX 3 only. If kept in good condition, they should all improve user experience, but if not, you might find yourself with a clogged up vape that can barely emit a single cloud!

So, choose your accessories wisely and then be wise about them! And most importantly – enjoy them!
